PERRINO Michele

Michele Perrino has been Regional Vice President for Medtronic in Italy since November 2016.

Michele has a twenty years’ experience in the MedTech sector and has held senior management roles in international companies.

He started his career in Italy with the Johnson & Johnson Medical Group where he spent nine years , working in Ethicon Endo -Surgery and Cordis. In 2007 he moved to Brussels to join Volcano Corporation, a top company in the field of intra vascular imaging and physiology. He was first Sales Director EMEAI and became International President in 2012.

During his experience in Volcano he successfully oversaw developed markets but also opened new ones; in particular, he established the company's presence in the Middle East and Asia.

A member of the Volcano Corp Executive Team, in 2009 he led the company towards its integration with Philips Healthcare, an acquisition completed in 2015.

In October 2015 he joined Elixir Medical Corporation, an American company that develops and markets cardiovascular re – absorbable technologies as President of Commercial Operations & Manufacturing , spending most of his time moving between the United States, Europe and Asia.

From 2012 to 2016 Michele Perrino held the position of Chairman of the Cardiovascular European Group within Eucomed (European Association of MedTech Industry ), in addition to having led its International Affairs Committee over the last two years and having been a member of the Board .

Michele Perrino speaks English, French and Spanish fluently. Michele has a degree in Economics and completed post-graduate studies in public finance with research done in Italy and abroad.
