Rick Claypool is a research director for Public Citizen’s president’s office. His work focuses on ways corporate power distorts democracy in the U.S. He has been quoted in Bloomberg News, USA Today, NPR, The American Prospect, Vice/Motherboard, Politico, and numerous regional newspapers. He has worked at Public Citizen for nine years.
Before Public Citizen, he conducted outreach and organizing efforts to fight hunger and wrote investigative news stories. Rick earned his master’s degree in popular culture studies from Bowling Green State University in Ohio and graduated magna cum laude from Saint Vincent College in Pennsylvania, where he studied English.
